you Dance Cuba! – a tailored holiday exploring the essence
of Cuba, through music & dance. Whether travelling alone, with
a partner or with a group, our dance holiday is the ideal way to
make friends, learn new dance skills and enjoy the real Cuba.

DANCE CUBA! PROGRAMME
Day 1 - Wednesday
We depart from London Gatwick and fly to Holguin, transferring to
the Sierra Mar beach resort in Santiago de Cuba, where we’ll
spend the next six nights on an all-inclusive basis, enjoying a
wide selection of food and drinks, as well as the resort’s
various facilities plus the colour and excitement of the island’s
Caribbean second city.
Days 2 to 6 - Thursday to Monday
Whilst providing you with dance classes exploring the very best
in Cuban dance, we’ll also ensure you have plenty of time
to relax and enjoy the beach and pool life. There’ll be a
guided tour of Santiago de Cuba and places ofinterest in the surrounding
area, as well as a visit to the city’s Casa de La Trova, the
birthplace of Son, the heartbeat of Cuban music.
In the evenings, as well as enjoying the entertainment and amenities
at the resort, we’ll make several trips into the city, to
sample dance shows, salsa clubs and live music.
Day 7 - Tuesday
We fly to Havana and transfer to the Hotel Sevilla. In the evening,
you’ll have the opportunity to sample your first taste of
Havana’s unique nightlife at one of the capital’s leading
salsa venues.
Days 8 to 13 – Wednesday to Monday
Dance class sessions are scheduled for late morning, leaving you
free in the afternoons to explore Havana, take a dip in the hotel
pool or make a splash at our salsa beach party! Planned trips will
include a walking tour of the city, along with visits to museums,
a cigar factory and other places of interest, all with bilingual
guides.
We’ll also visit Callejon de Hamel, for an undiluted taste
of street rumba, take in the electric afternoon salsa sessions at
the Casa de la Musica and enjoy real Cuban hospitality at a salsa
house party in a leafy Havana suburb.
In the evenings, we’ll visit some of Havana’s best
restaurants, before hitting the city’s celebrated nightclubs,
featuring live music, cabarets, dance shows and salsa into the early
hours.
Day 14 – Tuesday
Free day in the city, before departing Havana in the evening for
the flight back to London Gatwick (arriving the next day).

Where you’ll be staying
- Havana (hotel & breakfast) – Your stay
in the capital will prove all the more enjoyable for having experienced
the colonial splendour of the Hotel Sevilla. Built with a Moorish
flavour in the 1900’s, this centrally located hotel boasts
a recently refurbished swimming pool, a lobby bar serving food and
drink well into the early hours of the morning and an airy rooftop
restaurant with stunning panoramic views of the city. With all rooms
including en suite bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV and
safe, the Sevilla really is the place to stay in Havana.
- Santiago de Cuba (all-inclusive) – Located
around 60km Southwest of the city, the Sierra Mar resort overlooks
the Caribbean Sea, with the breathtaking Sierra Maestra Mountains
in the background and boasts its own private beach, a four km stretch
of soft sand.
As an all-inclusive guest, you’ll enjoy an impressive choice
of sport & leisure activities, along with an excellent selection
of food & drinks (including Cuban cocktails), available from
the variously located resort bars & restaurants. All rooms feature
a balcony with sea view, along with en suite bathroom, air conditioning,
satellite TV and safe.

Cuban dancers, will help to give you a deeper appreciation of the
essence of Cuban salsa - from it’s roots in the fusion of
African and Spanish rhythms, which gave birth to rumba and son,
via authentic mambo and cha cha cha, to casino – the vibrant,
contemporary style of Cuban salsa.Everyone, from complete beginner
to experienced dancer, will enjoy the style, pace and content of
these classes, with their keen emphasis on body movement, musical
interpretation, exciting salsa moves and wide exploration of Cuba’s
many exhilarating dance forms, including Afro-Cuban and Carnival
dances.
